Classes are wellness, not treatment
Yoga and mat Pilates at Root are wellness classes — an hour for your body, open to everyone, with no diagnosis or referral needed. They are not physical therapy, and they aren't a treatment plan for any condition. A few classes are shaped around particular bodies (our hypermobility and EDS classes, for instance, keep the pace and the cues appropriate for hypermobile joints), but that's thoughtful class design — not clinical care.
If you're dealing with pain, an injury, or a condition that needs hands-on care, that's the other side of Root: our physical therapy and occupational therapy services, which are billed to insurance and start with a full evaluation. Living with hypermobility or EDS and not sure which you want? Our EDS and hypermobility page explains the clinical side, and you're welcome to do both — just ask us and we'll help you sort out where to start.
