Are you experiencing numbness, tingling, or weakness in your hand and wrist? You may be suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, a common condition that affects millions of people worldwide. At Root Therapy & Wellness, our skilled therapists offer comprehensive Carpal Tunnel services designed to alleviate your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

Understanding Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm to the hand, becomes compressed or pinched at the wrist. This can lead to a range of uncomfortable symptoms, including:

  • Numbness or tingling in the hand and fingers
  • Weakness in the hand and difficulty gripping objects
  • Pain or discomfort in the hand, wrist, or forearm
  • Burning sensation in the hand or fingers

If left untreated, carpal tunnel syndrome can progress and lead to permanent nerve damage, affecting your ability to perform daily tasks and enjoy your favorite activities.

Who Can Benefit from Carpal Tunnel Services in Bozeman?

Our Carpal Tunnel services at Root Therapy & Wellness are designed for individuals experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Whether you have recently developed symptoms or have been struggling with carpal tunnel for an extended period, our therapists can help.

You may be at a higher risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome if you:

  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, such as typing or assembly line work
  • Have a family history of carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Suffer from certain medical conditions, such as diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis
  • Experience hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy or menopause

Our Approach to Carpal Tunnel Treatment

At Root Therapy & Wellness, we take a comprehensive and non-invasive approach to treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Our skilled therapists employ a variety of techniques to alleviate pressure on the median nerve and promote healing, including:

  • Manual Therapy: Gentle mobilization of the wrist, hand, and surrounding joints can help restore proper movement and reduce pressure on the median nerve.
  • Soft Tissue Techniques: Methods such as massage, stretching, and myofascial release help relieve tension in the muscles and tissues around the wrist, improving nerve function.
  • Ergonomic Recommendations: Our therapists will provide guidance on how to adjust your workstation and daily habits to minimize stress on your wrists and hands.
  • Wrist Splinting: Wearing a supportive wrist splint, especially at night, can help maintain a neutral position and relieve pressure on the nerve.

By combining these techniques and customizing treatment plans to your individual needs, our therapists aim to provide lasting relief from carpal tunnel symptoms and improve your overall hand and wrist function.
